"From Hard Rock to Exceptional Hospitality"
Speaker: Tom Werman, Owner of Stonover Farm
Our speaker will share his success journey from scouting and developing new talent for a major record label to renovating and operating a luxury bed and breakfast.
Attendees will gain an understanding of the importance of choosing a career that allows you to do what you enjoy doing most – the money will follow – and the secrets of preparing for “second acts” in your career.
After earning his MBA at Columbia Business School, Werman joined Grey Advertising in New York in 1969 and made an unlikely move a year later to the A&R department at Epic (CBS) Records. Responsible for scouting and developing new talent, Werman discovered and signed acts to the label, including Motley Crue, Cheap Trick, Twisted Sister and Poison, that sold over 50 million albums and produced 23 gold- and platinum-selling albums.
At age 55, Werman reversed direction. He left the music business and, after an extensive renovation, opened Stonover Farm, a luxury bed and breakfast in Lenox, MA. Twelve years later, Werman and his wife still love operating their successful inn, located just a stone’s throw from Tanglewood.
