Speaker: Michael Fancher, CNSE Vice President for Business Development & Economic Outreach; Director, New York State CATN2; Associate Professor of Nanoeconomics

Michael will provide a review of CNSE and recent developments that will provide partnering opportunities with the Consulting Alliance.  He will lead a discussion with a panel of members to explore innovative ways we can work together with Albany Nanotech.

Michael Fancher has amassed an impressive career with CNSE. He has secured targeted awards for centers, consortia, programs, projects, and initiatives through industry, university and government partnerships. He has implemented a statewide effort to attract advanced nanoelectronics R&D and manufacturing to the state.  Mr. Fancher also orchestrates economic outreach and business development supporting CNSE's and UAlbany's global educational, scientific, community and economic growth objectives.

He previously held the position of Deputy Budget Director (Project Development Finance) in the New York State Assembly Ways and Means Committee from 1988-1997. Michael is also a Certified Public Accountant in NYS. He holds a MA in International Economics from UAlbany and a B.S. in Accounting & Finance from Syracuse University. He has received NYS Governor's commendations for legislative achievement supporting business competitiveness and project development financing.
